We support many good causes
HjulmandKaptain has a tradition for supporting good causes – both in terms of charity and culture. We believe that it is our duty to show social responsibility.
For us, it is about the relation between us and the surrounding community, both locally and geographically, to a wider extent. We lend a helping hand when and where we can make a difference and a measurable and positive impact, both from a human and social perspective as well as financially.
What we support
A major part of the charitable purposes supported by us focuses on helping disadvantaged children. We believe that we have an obligation to help children going through a bad time, one way or the other. Therefore, we support various Danish institutions and organizations helping e.g. lonely children (“Julemærkehjemmene”), hospitalized children (Danish Hospital Clowns), unhappy teenage girls (GirlTalk), and cash-starved families (Gestus Nord).
Further, we see it as an important task to focus on issues such as educational opportunities, poverty, equality, and the combating of diseases. Therefore, we support e.g. the voluntary humanitarian organization “Danmarksindsamlingen” and the cancer organization “Knæk Cancer”.
Many people benefit greatly from culture and sport, both creating a spirit of community and social coherence. We are the sponsor of large associations as well as local clubs and institutions, such as e.g. The House of Music in Aalborg, The North Sea Oceanarium, Aalborg Zoo, Kunsten Museum of Modern Art, the football clubs of AaB, AGF, and Vendsyssel FF, Aalborg Theater, the ice hockey club, Frederikshavn White Hawks, the Julemærke Foundation, Skagen Museum, Vendsyssel Theater, and Vendsyssel Elite Badminton, as well as several smaller local associations, initiatives, and individual persons.
